Welcome to the TESS Website

Transport for Everyone in South Shropshire was set up in February 1999 to make the best use of existing transport within South Shropshire.

We hope to combat transport inequalities caused by the rural nature of South Shropshire by providing information about public transport, by supporting voluntary car schemes and by setting up projects such as minibus services or lift sharing groups where no other transport opportunities exist.

If you have a question about transport in South Shropshire then give us a call!

Shropshire Hills Shuttles

The Shropshire Hills Shuttles are managed by TESS with two main aims:

Firstly, the provision of a sustainable alternative to mass car use in the Shropshire Hills helps to reduce the amount of congestion and of visual and airborne pollution that the car can cause in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Secondly, the Shuttles provide a vital public transport link between outlying communities and the market towns in the area, at weekends and on Bank Holiday Mondays, where previously there was none.

The website has timetables and maps available for download. For further information on all of the Shuttles initiatives across the whole of Shropshire, you can also contact the TESS helpline on 01588 673 888 (office hours), or email: the Shuttles Office.

Car Clubs in South Shropshire

Car Club Logo

These are a pool of cars that local people (the members), can use whenever they need them, thereby doing away with the costs and trouble of traditional car ownership.

Cars are expensive to buy, and even more expensive to run, but for many journeys, public transport is not flexible or frequent enough

TESS is looking into an alternative to be operated throughout the South Shropshire area.

Are you interested? If so please contact TESS on 01588 673 888 or email: Linda Cox
